CANADA INTERESTED IN TESTING FLUFF
Government officials in Canada have expressed an interest in Fluff as a possible fuel. Canada has instituted an aggressive renewable energy policy and the government provides tax credits for the development of alternative energy. Canada currently uses biomass to produce about 6% of its national energy needs, but has expressed its interest in increasing research in this sector because of its efficiency and low cost.
According to Canadian officials, Fluff will be tested to see how it performs when gasified or burned. The benefits to using Fluff include the production of heat, steam and energy by converting solid waste, which is a sustainable and profitable source. Wastaway expects to receive an order for Fluff for testing in the next few weeks.
