New Project in Bucaramanga, Colombia

WastAway, an environmental technology company headquartered in McMinnville, TN, is pleased to announce it has been selected as the equipment and technology supplier to UT Vitalogic RSU for the Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia municipal solid waste project. A preliminary announcement for this selection was made by the City of Bucaramanga and its Mayor Rodolfo Hernandez at a televised press conference on July 27, 2017. The goal of the project in Bucaramanga is to reduce the amount of waste going to the landfill by converting that waste into a renewable energy fuel to produce electricity for the city. The WastAway Energy Fuel is good for the environment by reducing the amount of waste going to the landfill, thereby reducing greenhouse gases from landfills and the amount of fossil fuels burned.

WastAway is a technology and equipment supplier to the municipal solid waste industry. WastAway’s patented waste processing technology has been in commercial operation since 2003. WastAway is in later stage discussions for projects in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.
